Exemplar Drawings and the Three Major Themes

Environmental Filter
The Blades Residence, located in Santa Barbara, California, proposed its design to be environmentally suitable by using the existing landscape. Thus saying so, this is produced by entwining both interior and exterior space. The home does not exhibit some of its areas through using different shapes and forms, which gives a more private and discreet feeling to its inhabitants. What makes the Blades Residence rather astounding is how it uses walls and other forms of the design to have both the interior space and the exterior space as one.
Container of Human Activities
The design of the residence, which was personally precise upon the owners of the home, was devised as an open style plan that aimed to integrate every activity that partakes within the area. The ground level of the residence is generally designed as a public area for guests of the family while the upper floor, which have the bedrooms, are positioned to have more of a private area for residential quarters. The design of the building insists the activities to be held into the central area which has the fireplace, in that way the open plan living of the home is not restricted within the interior space, but it also extends towards the exterior area to give a better experience towards the clients.
Delightful Experience
The integration of both the exterior and interior spaces is probably what provides the Blades Residence its defining trait. Upon saying this, the residential building is constantly exposed to diffused natural light which gives it more character. The geometric shapes that are portrayed with the form of the design both inside the building and outside portrays the area being somewhat both vibrant and necessarily comfortable, which a house ought to be. The dynamic structure, together with the use of both natural and artificial light, creates spectacular visual effects towards the viewer, giving a more vivid vision.
Upon the design, this was premeditated by the architects to specify the requirements stated by the clients, something for their desires. What they wished for was something different, something outstanding. This is what gave the architect inspiration to create a residential building quite extravagant in its own particular way.
